The Adi Karmayogi Student Chapter at NIT Patna is a student-led initiative under the national Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in June 2025. This initiative is part of the Government of India's vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The Club or Chapter serves as a dynamic platform for leadership, civic engagement, and social innovation, specifically geared toward tribal empowerment and responsive governance. It is one of over 100 student chapters across IITs, NITs, IIMs, and other top institutions across India. It supports the Ministry's efforts to strengthen last-mile service delivery and bring tribal leadership into the mainstream of national development. Key Activities of the Chapter: 1. Leadership & Mentorship • Facilitate peer mentoring among tribal students • Connect students with tribal leaders, civil servants, and subject experts • Mentor EMRS and Ashram School students under the Mentor-Mentee Program 2. Social & Cultural Integration • Organize campaigns on tribal rights, digital inclusion, and climate action • Promote tribal art, culture, languages, and storytelling traditions • Foster a spirit of problem-solving and social responsibility 3. Innovation & Civic Tech • Develop simple digital tools and platforms for community use • Participate in process labs, workshops, and simulations on governance • Act as Digital Warriors, amplifying awareness of Government schemes 4. Field-Based Engagement • Collaborate in the preparation of Village Vision 2030 Plans • Contribute to tribal development missions across health, education, and inclusion • Serve as Adi Sakhis/Sakhas—youth volunteers supporting local change 5. Policy & Governance Exposure • Participate in virtual sessions with senior officials (Collectors, Secretaries, etc.) • Understand how policy is implemented on the ground, and where innovation fits in • Create case studies, reports, and data insights to inform real decisions
