Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical
Engineering offers both UG, PG and
Doctoral programmes. The
Department has a qualified and
experienced faculty in all the
related fields of Mechanical
Engineering.
Core courses under UG program
include
Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics,
Fluid Machinery, CAD, CAM, Machine
Drawing, Manufacturing by Shaping
and Joining, Design of Machine
Elements, IC Engines and Gas
Turbines, Refrigeration and
Air Conditioning. Specialized courses
for higher degrees include Thermal
Turbo Machinery, Refrigeration, Air
Conditioning and Heat Transfer.
The theoretical knowledge is further
augmented by well equipped
laboratories.
Apart from these, students are also
offered a wide variety of electives.
